The writing style is simple, with short sentences, short paragraphs and a low amount of descriptions and idioms (成语).

The initial hurdle will be steep due to the volume of new vocabulary, however, the scenery and setting of the story are pretty static throughout and the same vocabularies are repeated throughout the novel.

This novel is long therefore we recommend this to a high-intermediate reader who has been reading for a while and is looking to build up reading tolerance.

This novel was so sweet I got diabetes from the interactions between the main couple. There are some things I felt were contradictory and awkward about some of the characters and plot as I was reading, but ultimately it’s not really worth thinking too deeply about. The main point of the novel is definitely to just enjoy an adorable love after marriage relationship! Difficulty wise this was a very straightforward and easy read. (see more…)
